    1. Know the development needs. Boil it down to the top three development needs, or even in other words, “what are you trying to find from your program?” Typical email address particulars are “learn how you can be a little more strategic”, “leading change”, or some mixture of functional knowledge (finance, sales, and marketing). There may be is often a timeframe that’s better or worse than the others (i.e., next Half a year, avoid the summer, etc…)

    2. Search your selected executive education providers.

    3. Once you discover one or two potential programs, get a good fit. Consider the recommended participant level, participant mix, industry mix, and company participation.

    4. Read the instructors, see the bios. Evaluate the everyday agenda, topics, and activities. Again, you desire an excellent fit for your participant and his/her development needs. Speak to the provider’s Exec Ed Director, or someone who can assist you find out more on the programs.

    Ask other’s should they have knowledge of the program.

    5. Speak with past participants if at all possible, or someone in control of leadership/executive development development.

    6. Geography can sometimes be an aspect. Hunting for a global experience? Than look for a good mixture of global participants, or even better, attend a program outside of the U.S.

    7. Amount of program: Programs range any where from 2-3 days in order to six weeks. I honestly don’t know how one can afford to go to a 6 week program nowadays, unless they’re over a sabbatical or their company is just hoping to get rid of them for quite a while.

    8. Look into the amenities’. All right, I know, this can be a learning experience instead of a vacation, but first-rate food, accommodations, and surroundings each is area of the total experience. Also find out if the bedroom and meals is in the program.

    9. Factors that will ‘t be an element of a conclusion: alumni relationships, timing coinciding using the NCAA playoffs, and catchy program titles.

    10. After all with this, narrow it as a result of 2-3 program, then select depending on best fit, timing, and charges.
